To Rebrand or Not to Rebrand?

"To Rebrand or Not to Rebrand?" ... That is the question!

Really excited about an upcoming article from brand expert, David Brier, in the next issue of 'FRINGE MAGAZINE'. David has more than 30 years branding experience and has a very novel approach to helping businesses take ownership of their brand identity in order to stand out from the crowd and, as he puts it, to not get lost in the junk heap of mediocrity. If you are a new business owner or are launching a new product in 2018 or are involved in ANY type of creative entrepreneurship, then this piece is well worth a read! David got me rebranding everything in sight, just check out my new rebranded twitter page :) right here --> https://twitter.com/ProjectcodeX

I look forward to the series being re-released in 2018 with all of the proper "fanfare" :) to reflect the amount of time, research and effort that has really been involved in piecing together this cool story and world! Thank you sincerely for coming on this epic journey with me. I have learned so much in the process and have been humbled by your comments.

On George Orwell's 1984

Just updated a piece I wrote on Orwell's 1984 for World Book Day not so long ago. I have been flattered to have had Alpha is the Beginning likened to this book, and it has been a high compliment considering the incredible endurance of this work from the last century right up until now. However, I do hope to offer a path of digression, so that my writing can remain distinctly different. To read more about the similarities and differences, but, more importantly, to read about the overall subject matter and its relevance to today,  CLICK HERE.

Cut the Fat, But Not the Flesh...

Recently I read up on the controversy about why Hollywood is making such bad movies, courtesy of the wonderful Stephanie Palmer. Stephanie Palmer is a former MGM executive and she is the go-to person for helpful and pro-active advice for all aspiring screenwriters. You can read about her thoughts behind the controversy HERE.

Not long after reading this, I came across another article which talked about cutting scripts down to the bone. As I was in the process of adapting novel into screenplay, I felt that this advice was just instinctively wrong and it got me thinking that maybe this is another reason why Hollywood is making bad movies. Maybe the scripts are just too bare for people to get into the story...?? Here is my own take on the controversy, typically infused with a good helping of Irish humour "Cut the Fat, But Not the Flesh".

Please feel free to comment and/or share!
