"The inspiration for these books came from many different sources, but most notetably, among contemporary authors (and by contemporary, I mean the last century) was Ray Bradbury's book Fahrenheit 451. I like books with an underlying message - books that make you think and make you wonder about the world. If a book has a great story, but no message, then it's not for me. Or if it's all style, but no substance, it's not for me either. I prefer when books have a message or a purpose to them, otherwise, they seem a bit dead and lifeless. I think, in this way, books can be a lot like people. What I mean is people are more interesting when they have a purpose, and a message or a story to tell. Everyone is the world has a story to tell, these books represent just one story. I just hope by the end that people understand the message I'm trying to get across."
